Who we are

Leiths (Scotland) Ltd, Rigifa, Cove, Aberdeen, AB12 3LR, is the controller of the personal information collected through this website, on behalf of itself and the other companies in Leiths Group ("Leiths", "we", "us", "our").

We collect the following personal information when you use this website:

Enquiries – when you complete one of our contact forms, we collect your name, company, email address, area of interest and the content of your message.
Job applications – when you apply for a vacancy, we collect your name, telephone number, email address and the application form or other documents you upload, together with any information you choose to include in them.
Newsletter – when you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
Technical information – when you visit the website, our servers and service providers automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device information, and the pages you request. Some of this is collected using cookies, as described in our Cookie Policy.

We do not ask for special category information (such as information about health or ethnic origin) through this website. Please do not include it in enquiries or application documents unless we have specifically asked for it.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary with:

other companies within Leiths Group, where your enquiry or application relates to them;
service providers who host and support this website and our email systems;
Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which we use to manage our newsletter mailing list and send newsletters;
Cloudflare, Inc., which provides the Turnstile service we use to protect our forms from spam and automated abuse;
Google, which provides the maps shown on our location pages;
professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where we are required or permitted to do so by law.

Our service providers may only use your information in accordance with our instructions and are required to keep it secure.

International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Mailchimp, Cloudflare and Google, are based in or process information in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where this happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK-US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above:

enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up, and longer where they lead to an ongoing customer relationship;
unsuccessful job applications are kept for up to 6 months after the recruitment process ends, unless you agree to us keeping them for longer to consider you for future vacancies. If your application is successful, it becomes part of your employee record;
newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Keeping your information secure

We have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your personal information against accidental loss, and unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure. This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

request access to the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
ask us to erase your information;
ask us to restrict how we use your information;
